- Bronze Age: The Bronze Age followed the Neolithic period and is defined by the use of bronze—a metal alloy primarily made from copper and tin—as the main material for tools, weapons, and artefacts. The Bronze Age marked a significant technological advancement, as the introduction of metallurgy allowed for more durable and versatile tools.
